Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year!!

I just can't help myself! I love the warm sweet feeling of the holidays. The glow of the lights, the smell of the candles, the twinkle of the trees, my kids asking me every single day if Santa is coming tomorrow...what's not to love! I finished Cruz's quilt (I botched it up so I'm embarrassed to post a pic) but his mama made it with love for him! (Hope he remembers that when he's a little older and wiser and pays more attention to detail) But I snapped some pictures of my little holiday abode...

My dad helped us out with the lights this year, no more battles with snowy icy roofs!

I found this tutorial here and decided to try it out...

This is our new Entertainment Center we found for a steal on KSL (don't mind Halo playing on the TV)

My centerpiece with plastic ornaments (I do have tiny kiddos climbing on top of tables daily:)

Happy Decorating Everyone!

My Christmas projects

Ok, so it's like 70 degrees and sunny outside, but I totally don't care!!! I LOVE the holidays!!! Half my house is decorated, I'm listening to Christmas music, I've bought half of my Christmas gifts, We got all our Christmas lights yesterday and are putting them up tomorrow, and I'm finishing quilts for my kids. I Love this time of year!!!!
This one is a rag quilt for Canon with yummy swirly minkie that's to die for...

And this one is Jaylee's, it has the same swirly minkie that makes me want to just keep it and snuggle in it all day long...

Two quilts down, 3 to go!
Along with many other fun crafts I want to play around with! Once again, I LOVE the holidays!!!

My Little Monsters

Halloween is such a strange holiday, but a great excuse to give in to the temptation of chocolate staring me in the face all day long! It was Canon's first Halloween, and he didn't really get it, at all. But Jaylee and Cruz caught on really quick. In fact, over the past week Cruz asks me multiple times a day if we're going to go "Halloweening" again tomorrow.
Here is my little Cinderella walking through the Halloween parade at her preschool

Cruzie told me today that his best friend in his class was Mrs. Evans, his darling teacher:) sooo cute!

my tiny little puffy dragon

I could barely get them to hold still to take the picture, they waited all day to go trick-or-treating!

So we still have remnants of Halloween in ziplocs on top of my fridge, but it's good! It's teaching me about willpower:) Hope everyone had a fun holiday too!!

Haugen Halloween Extravaganza

Happy HalloWEEK everybody, haha! Ok Ok, don't let my pathetic attempts for humor stop you from reading the rest of this post:) Every year Halloween sneaks up on us, and it causes stress and and forboding as we decide what creative costumes we can come up with for the annual Halloween party our good friends host every year. They go ALL out! There's always a cash pot for the best costume along with some other amazing prizes. We play lots of crazy games, have some spooky goodies, and good times with friends. We went to the same costume store three times before we "semi-agreed" on something to be... Rod had the final say. He found a wig that he loved (which he didn't even end up wearing) and a "vintage dad" costume that he liked. So we had to figure out something for me to match. June Cleaver? Nope she had blonde hair. Lucille Ball? Nope, red hair. We ended up being "vintage mom and dad". I know, pretty clever right? Oh well, there's always next year... On a more positive note, the party was awesome!!! So much fun!

Here are the goblin King, and Sarah from Labrinth (aka Trevor and Tatum our awesome hosts)

Vintage mom and dad

Trev decided to bust out in song from a classic scene in the movie

"The Dice Game" was one of my favorite games we played

Tatum made a totally disgusting (looking) but deliciously cool cake...

Our goings on...

Ok, we finally got our computer back (with all the pictures), so I decided to make a slideshow with a few of my favorite pictures from Canon and Cruz's birthdays, and our trips to Arizona and Disneyworld. Now I think we're all caught up:)

Fall Fotos Featuring: my babies!!

How lucky am I, to have the most talented and amazing photographer as my best friend! Liz did such a great job, as always, but never ceases to amaze me with her eye for detail and good locations, her patience, and creativity. My kids were impossible, as always, but she managed to get some exceptional shots. Thanks a million Lizzy Poo! I'm just going to post some of my favorites:)

Las Vegas Ragnar

Ok, so I have sooo many other pictures to post from the last few months, but I guess this will have to be a start. This was one of the most memorable, (mostly b/c of the pure insanity of it all) fun, challenging, things I have ever done. But for all you runners out there, I dare you to try it once... you will be hooked.
We drove down in 2 groups of six to start a relay race of 171 miles through the deserts of Nevada, ending in Las Vegas. Our race start time was 12:30 pm, and our 12team runners each were assigned 3 seperate legs throughout a 24 hour period. My first leg began around 1:30pm and was probably the toughest during the heat of the day, even though it was only 3.5 miles. My second leg started around 10:30 pm and was 3.2 miles. This one had lots of hills, but it was much cooler to run in, and the last 1/2 mile was all down hill which made it fun. My last leg I was really nervous about, 4.5 miles at 6 am. I took a couple of energy shot bloks, and when it kicked in I was dancing across the exchange point! I felt soooo relieved to be done with my legs, and so proud of my team for running so well! Our team finished 11th overall out of around 200 teams, and 4th out of the mixed teams! So aside from the lack of sleep, the sore muscles, the bathroom conditions, and food, I would totally do this over again in a second! So much fun!

This was in St. George after decorating our vehicles with paint, markers, and some Halloween lights:) They looked pretty awesome! Not as hot as the neon leg warmers, lace gloves, headbands, and pimpn furry hats!

Do you love the nails! Star has many talents, including her artistic abilities:) She painted all the girls' nails with a pretty sweet Ragnar theme:)

Here's Van 1 at the start line: Star, Jay, Tanya, Jaime, Russ, and me
