Look what I won!!

There have been some great giveaways this holiday season, and I've entered a few of them. Rod always teases me and says "it's all a scam." Well, I proved him wrong today!!!! I entered the 12 days of giveaways on Tip Junkie's website and scored a gorgeous family crest necklace!

Check it out... A sterling silver, stamped, genuine pearl necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

I'm feeling lucky:)

Cruzie is Potty-trained!

So life really does get a WHOLE lot easier when you go from two kids in diapers to just one! It only took a few days for him to really get the hang of things and decide to do it! And now that he goes potty regularly, I think he feels bigger, older, and more responsible. He's become such a good helper to us all!! So proud of you Cruzie!!!

Crafts, crafts, crafts!

So I finished my first ever quilt top. I'm working on the back right now (which is basically sewing 2 very large pieces of fabric together (simple right:) then I'm taking it in to have it machine quilted. Can't wait to see how it turns out

It's meant to be a Christmas gift to someone although I haven't decided who just yet:)

Other little crafty gift tags I made to go on friend and neighbor gifts. Although I'm not exactly sure what those gifts will be yet either:)

O Christmas Tree... (Jaylee has been bugging us for weeks to put the tree up, and we told her if she kept her room and playroom clean for a week we would do it. Guess who kept her rooms clean:)

Thank you to How Does She for the info:)

Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year!!

I just can't help myself! I love the warm sweet feeling of the holidays. The glow of the lights, the smell of the candles, the twinkle of the trees, my kids asking me every single day if Santa is coming tomorrow...what's not to love! I finished Cruz's quilt (I botched it up so I'm embarrassed to post a pic) but his mama made it with love for him! (Hope he remembers that when he's a little older and wiser and pays more attention to detail) But I snapped some pictures of my little holiday abode...

My dad helped us out with the lights this year, no more battles with snowy icy roofs!

I found this tutorial here and decided to try it out...

This is our new Entertainment Center we found for a steal on KSL (don't mind Halo playing on the TV)

My centerpiece with plastic ornaments (I do have tiny kiddos climbing on top of tables daily:)

Happy Decorating Everyone!

My Christmas projects

Ok, so it's like 70 degrees and sunny outside, but I totally don't care!!! I LOVE the holidays!!! Half my house is decorated, I'm listening to Christmas music, I've bought half of my Christmas gifts, We got all our Christmas lights yesterday and are putting them up tomorrow, and I'm finishing quilts for my kids. I Love this time of year!!!!
This one is a rag quilt for Canon with yummy swirly minkie that's to die for...

And this one is Jaylee's, it has the same swirly minkie that makes me want to just keep it and snuggle in it all day long...

Two quilts down, 3 to go!
Along with many other fun crafts I want to play around with! Once again, I LOVE the holidays!!!

My Little Monsters

Halloween is such a strange holiday, but a great excuse to give in to the temptation of chocolate staring me in the face all day long! It was Canon's first Halloween, and he didn't really get it, at all. But Jaylee and Cruz caught on really quick. In fact, over the past week Cruz asks me multiple times a day if we're going to go "Halloweening" again tomorrow.
Here is my little Cinderella walking through the Halloween parade at her preschool

Cruzie told me today that his best friend in his class was Mrs. Evans, his darling teacher:) sooo cute!

my tiny little puffy dragon

I could barely get them to hold still to take the picture, they waited all day to go trick-or-treating!

So we still have remnants of Halloween in ziplocs on top of my fridge, but it's good! It's teaching me about willpower:) Hope everyone had a fun holiday too!!
